The Barnes House is now sits at 5049 Waterway Drive, Dumfries, VA 22025 but was orginally located at 14823 Dumfries Road, Dumfries, VA. where it is now in the process of being renovated. The orginal structure is a hall-and-parlaor plan framed building.


Dendrochronological analysis has shown that the original structure was built in the summer of 1797 or shortly thereafter.
