Site Master (oak) WHDEx2 (t = 7.69 POPMASTE; 7.04 MDOAK; 6.90 LMP).
The Walls’ Homestead started out as a small, three-bay, two-story framed house. A one-and-a-half-story kitchen (later raised to a full two stories) was added to the east gable, while a two-story ell was added to the north side of the structure.
Dendrochronological analysis has shown that the kitchen was constructed from timbers felled in the winter of 1809/10. The primary construction phase of the house could not be dated.
