Logs (1/11) 1850(C). Dated samples 1767-1850 hlc2 (t = 5.38 LBENNETT; 5.0 ANTIETAM; 4.84 ZLH).
The log cabin located in Hanover, Pennsylvania, is a simple one-story cabin constructed from oak logs. The building was completely rebuilt and moved to its present location just prior to sampling. Only one log from the building dated against the regional master chronologies, giving a date of winter 1850/1 for the felling of the trees used to construct the building.
