The Hawkins Pharsalia is a 1 1/2 story, three bay, single-pile gambrel-roofed dwelling. The house is constructed of brick laid in five-cource bond, with corbeled cornice and brick chimneys at each end.


Dendrochronological analysis has shown that the original structure was built in the spring of 1829 or shortly thereafter.
