Site Master 1674-1838 (white oak) CSILx1 (t = 9.62 IL013; 9.39 IL014; 7.81 AR001).
The Crenshaw House is a three-story, timber-framed structure with a large front porch and a basement. It is located at the Crenshaw House State Historic Site in Gallatin County, Illinois. The State of Illinois bought the house in 2001 and it is maintained by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
Dendrochronological analysis has shown that the building was constructed from timbers felled in the summer of 1838 and the spring of 1839, suggesting that the house was constructed at this latter date or shortly thereafter.
