Primary Building Felling Dates: Summer 1841, Winter 1840/1, Spring 1837


Site Master 1746-1840 (yellow pine) MSEMx1 (t = 12.43 TPDCx1; 10.64 DTRx1; 7.95 VANC2018). Site Master 1676-1840 (yellow pine) MSEMx2 (t = 9.67 BALTx1; 6.07 NY003; 5.83 MOLNY). Individual sample 1689-1840 (yellow pine) msem3 (t = 5.12 TUDORDC; 4.77 VANC2018; 4.77 cpz3).


The Young-Buzby-Jones Store and Dwelling at 8069 Main Street in Ellicott City, Maryland, is a two-and-a-half story, four-bay by two-bay building. Dendrochronological analysis has shown that the building was constructed from timbers felled in the spring of 1837, the winter of 1840/1, and the summer of 1841.
