Mount Lubentia is a large, Federal-style brick dwelling topped by a hip roof. It consists of a two-and-a-half-story main block with a two-story kitchen wing attached on the north. The main block is five bays by four bays and has an entrance on the north side.


Dendrochronological analysis has shown that the original structure was built with timbers felled from the winter of 1791/2 through the summer of 1792.
